VFlyer - One of My Favorite Tools Just Got Sharper!

VFlyer - One of My Favorite Tools Just Got SharperI got a sneak peak the other day at the new and improved VFlyer service for Real Estate (virtual property flyers), and things are looking good!

What’s that?  You don’t know VFlyer yet?  Oh man!  These guys are great.  I’ve blogged here on them before, but it’s worth another mention.

For free* you can do all of the following for a property listing:

1. Produce a sweet looking PDF Flyer/Brochure (it prints nicely too).
2. Launch a stand-alone website/flyer (add a domain name: www.123ElmSt.com**).
3. Promote it automatically on Zillow, Trulia, GoogleBase, Yahoo, Vast, Oodle, FrontDoor and many more.
4. Receive code to post handsomely on Craigslist or Ebay
5. Showcase it on your blog/website as a page or in the sidebar.

*There are different levels of pricing, starting with free.
**Custom domain names are an extra cost.

So what’s new at VFlyer?

2 major changes will available in the incredibly near future:

1. Customize Your VFlyer Property Templates.

With the option of uploading background and header images, VFlyer members can give their themes a higher degree of branding than ever before. In the past, customers who wanted this degree of branding would pay a $349.00 fee for VFlyer to design a branded theme for them. With the new capabilities, most members will be able to do it themselves or engage their graphic designer to create a background and/or header image.  I say “Sweet!”

2. Dozens of Real Estate Templates/Backgrounds Designed for Nationally Known Brokerages.

Here are a few of the brands they have launched:

RE/MAX
Coldwell Banker
Keller Williams
Century 21
Prudential
ERA
Weichert Realtors
EXIT Realty
GMAC Real Estate
Sotheby’s International Realty
Realty Executives
Long & Foster
John L. Scott
…and at least 15 more.

No, the gang at VFlyer didn’t pay me to write this up.  They know I am a big fan, and was happy to hear about some of the new improvements.  I know how important it is to know about the best tools to improve your real estate business, and VFlyer Property Flyers are a top 10 tool for sure.

I love VFlyer, more importantly, so do my clients. I use the single property website feature, adding links to neighborhood community and government information and of course, my own site. I have a rider made for the property and pay for the url. The only thing better would be to create a single blog for each property so I would have the link and url indefinately.

I don't currently use VFLyer, but after hearing about it I'll give it a try. Thanks for the post.

After taking pictures today for three new listings this sounds like the perfect way to go. Thanks so much for bring this to our attention.
Ummmmmmmmmm, would the Tomato like to offer a tutorial?

If Jim's glowing recommendation isn't enough, I'll through mine in as well. I've used vflyer's free services for years now and absolutely love them. Their customer service is also second to none. They are quick and responsive to questions and seem happy to help.

What happens when you post your listings on both Vflyer and Postlets? Do you end up with duplicate copies of the listing on the sites they feed, such as Zillow, Trulia, etc?

I'm not sure... give it a go - let's see what happens.

I will take a look and check it out. I use Postlets now but will take a look and see what it does offer. Thanks for the tips.

This is really very useful for realtors. Thanks for the tips..have to take a look on this one.

I'll offer a voice of dissent (probably from the consumer's standpoint.) I must get 20-30 VFlyer emails per day, with over 50% being homes out of the area, and often times not even in the same state. I don't know about your clients, but mine tend to be very sensitive to being spammed -- and getting unsolicited emails about investment property in Texas (when you live in California) pretty much qualifies as spam.

I know I rely on the internet just as much as the next agent, but I think it's important to understand the positives and negatives with VFlyer (and other similar email/shotgun marketing approaches.)

Chuck,

VFlyer as a service is not emailing you. You must be on some email lists that have users of VFlyer emailing you. I would find a way to unsubscribe or block such communication. I know, however, that it is not something VFlyer is doing to your inbox... but a user thereof.

I'll give VFlyer a try for my new listing. Looks like they have pretty good distribution. Their widget is very attractive. I love the Postlets.

I also use Postlets now. Does anyone have any opinions as to which one they like better?
