That RSS Pieces title actually pissed me off big time. No reply to my own quite mild comment either. If I wanted to make ad money off my blog, my content would be vastly different.

Interesting. I did submit to Posh'd...didn't know about them. Thank you for the update.

I've been asked what my comments were on the RSSPieces article... and I just happen to save them from an email I shared with someone on the topic:

MM-

Right on about promoting the proper products (books, cameras, or even schwag) to your target audience. I think that recognizing your target audience's needs as well as the quality of particular products to promote is proper and commendable.

However, this statement below is a bit harder to agree on:

"If AdSense and affiliate programs didn't work, I seriously doubt so many respected sites and blogs would be utilizing them."

A 'quick tour' throughout the Internet has me finding that MOST respected sites and blogs are NOT using AdSense - or rather AdCents, because that's all it's really good for, for MOST.

Bottom line: Most recognize that the message their site promotes is seen as compromised by the irrelevant financial return of AdSense style advertising.

In my comment I had linked the word 'compromised' with this link:

Wouldn't take it personally, AK, title sounded like linkbait, trolling, or whatever the right buzzword is for shock value.

I wonder how Adsense on a real estate site adds value to readers; the ads are targeted but not always accurately. If the goal were to monetize traffic numbers, I think Jim's comment on promoting products they find useful seems to make more sense.

Gena, we most certainly plan on featuring your site on Posh'd. We are trying to do you a favor by holding off until June so you get the full month on the site. We're trying to boost marketing at the end of this month. Thanks for the submission!

Mary writes headlines that stir the pot. I strongly disagree with her about adsense, just as I disagree with her about blog rolls. But then, I am just a blogger, not a blogging expert/vendor.

PortOrangeJuice has been Posh'd. We have reached poshdom!! A big thanks to the Real Estate Tomato gang!!! Team Gagliardi thanks you all for your devotion to our site!!
